Arnold Schwarzenegger decided a “take two” for his divorce paperwork was necessary, after a snafu had the actor denying his ex, Maria Shriver, spousal support or paying for her legal fees. The star refiled the paperwork with the fixes.
The glitch was due to the ex-California governor failing to read the fine print of his own divorce document.
According to the New York Daily News, the 63-year-old did not request these two penny-pinching moves & Arnold Schwarzenegger removed them after his formal reply to Shriver’s divorce request went public and the criticism started rolling his way.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s lawyer checked the boxes that are normally filled out for such high-profile divorces. Perhaps it slipped the attorney’s mind that the reason for the split was Arnold’s just-as-high-profile admission that he’d had an affair with a household staffer that resulted in a 13-year-old love child.
TMZ is reporting that those two money issues were the only differences in the divorce documents. Now that those are remedied, the two can focus on arranging joint custody of 13-year-old Christopher (who was released from the hospital Monday night following a boogie boarding accident) and 17-year-old Patrick. All’s well that ends well.
