Toshiba Ultrabook Toshiba of Z830 is one of the first crop of laptops will reach the market built on the Intel platform Ultrabook. Intel sees the team ultrabook ideal that can be built using current technologies. Netbooks showed that the public was interested in having a light laptop – but were, in nothing great, but thin. Apple s’ MacBook Air has been a resounding success. More importantly, however, it was shown that the public is willing to pay a premium for portability – which means that the low weight and super slim styles. Intel has decided that success and that there is a niche market of any new waiting to be exploited. After seeing the Toshiba Portage Z830 ultrabook in person … might be at first glance right. At, the Z830 looks thicker than most obvious rival, the MacBook Air. And it is, but just barely – most of the profile of air comes from the intelligent tuning Apple introduced, which is a little thicker than razer thin margins good might suggest. In contrast, the Z830 does not sail at all, the end result is that you feel quite as ephemeral, but their profile is more elegant 0.63 inch Portage enough. The new dress with a layer of magnesium, which almost feels like first touch plastic. Not because it feels cheap, of course – very little about the Z830 could be described as cheap. On the contrary, the whole notebook is extremely light. Despite being a full-size 13.3-inch computer, Toshiba‘s first ultrabook weighs only 2.5 pounds.
It’s so light, in fact, that’s almost laughable. We were almost pulling all ultrabook here at the fair, simply because everyone was so incredulous how light it feels. Despite being light, Toshiba managed to get a lot of technology – you will be able to obtain models with Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 Core CPUs, up to 6 GB of RAM, a 128 GB disk status solid background lighting and spill-resistant keyboard and a 13.3-inch LED backlit LCD with a resolution of 1366×768.Speaking of the screen, probably the weakest part of building the Portage – and even not so bad . There is a substantial amount of flexible frame of the screen, so that when you open the notebook for an edge, you will see the panel turning slightly as they open. Although the bends will not have to worry about the distortions of the screen – pressing hard on the back of the screen and not a wrinkle appeared on the front.
The viewing angles were not as good, but we’ve seen worse. On the positive side, at least the screen is completely matte – you will not find a glossy panel here. On the bright room, lit by the sun, it was easy to read text and view video on the screen and the screen was not even in all the features of a keyboard layout style brightness. The island for the first time in Sony Vaio laptops, and popularized by Apple. The feedback is good, there is very little flexibility and quick response keys. Just below the trackpad keyboard was a good enough – it felt like a Synaptics, but I can not be sure – and a series of buttons. Fortunately, the buttons are built into the trackpad button, but set out below. Lenovo made the mistake of offering a solution to their ultrabook IdeaPad, and there are significant problems with it (more on that in another post).
Inside the Toshiba Portage Z830 is a solid state drive, like the rest of the lineup ultrabook. This unit, with its low imperectibly seek times, and the performance of the upper unit, the operating system does feel snappy done. The software, in this case it was Windows 7, Windows 8, but was seen in the Z830 on stage. Put the computer to sleep when closing the lid was fast, but the awakening times were not so. It was faster than many laptops on the market, but definitely does not respond as quickly as air. We will be able to get the ultimate dream and start times once we have a unit shipped in the house of a review. In terms of the whole, the new Toshiba model Z830 ultrabook can certainly serve as spokesbook for Intel platform. It’s exciting thin, incredibly light, and quite possibly the harbinger of the new wave of mobile computing technology. Given the Lilliputian of this equipment, manufacturers will have to work hard to add options diverse enough to attract buyers in.
