As SEO is essential to report on indicators that show the progression of the project you are working.

These reports should provide the customer and you with actionable information, and is also able to outline clearly the KPI. All reports should include measurements of both on-site and off-site activity, providing the customer with a clear understanding of what the improvement has been made.To sure they are reporting on the right areas during the initial stages, should take steps to have a meeting with his client.
Meeting customer
Before any SEO project can begin you need to have a meeting (kick-off) with the customer to understand everything about the project. This meeting should include but not limited to, knowing the objectives, system constraints, potential target keywords and reporting requirements.
When it comes to discussing the report, there are some areas that you should get feedback from customers before creating the report.
How often you would like to report?
What indicators do (the customer) would like to report?
What search engines that you (the customer) as the goal?
The above three points are not the only areas that should be talking about with regard to information, but you get the idea. In today’s market, most customers tend to have a good idea of ??what they would like to see in your reports weekly / monthly / quarterly, but some still are not sure.
Here are some indicators suggest that it can report on any website, whether electronic commerce or information that could be discussed with the client.
Visibility keyword
Visibility keyword is still a good indicator of how any SEO project is coming along, and still is a report that every customer wants to see.
Compare target keywords / phrases against competitors identified – this will allow you to see how it compares to its closest competitors, and what to do to improve.
Monthly report of the keyword / phrase of movement – shows the progress of your keywords on a monthly basis. The report also must trace through time to show a visible representation of any improvement.
Report run against the target search engines – make sure you run all your target keywords against all target search engines so you know its visibility in all areas.
Metric unbranded
Unbranded Driving traffic to the site must be one of the main KPI for any SEO project, therefore reporting on this is essential.
The breakdown does not mark the visits of search engines – these measurements divided by the search engines that give a much more granular through its brand is not SEO campaign.
Not mark up words / phrases to drive traffic – reporting on this measure will help to identify the keywords that are becoming higher and identify improvements to be made.
% Of non-brand traffic vs. organic traffic – not the brand to be the main focus area, you can see that the organic separation and any movement in time.
% Of non-brand traffic vs. search traffic – do not check to see how traffic is compared to the organic and PPC mark identifies the importance of the work they do.
% Of non-brand traffic vs. total traffic – this indicator shows the number of visits of the brand are not contributing to the total traffic received from the website in general.
Landing Pages – run a report the landing page above to see which pages are receiving the most traffic does not mark. This report also highlights areas that could benefit from the seasonal or annual trends.
No Keywords driving traffic marking the landing page – once the top floor-page report has drawn more you can dive in this indicator by identifying the words / phrases that drove traffic to these pages. Understanding the keywords that generate traffic to certain pages will help improve the relevance of a specific page.
Time on site – when the site will provide a report of average time spent in each individual website. This report should focus on non-branded keywords, looking for keywords / phrases are keeping the user on the site for a lot of time, while looking at the other end of the spectrum and see what keywords have to improve.
Page views generated by traffic non-marking – a website that does not offer a service or sell products, a report page views is a good metric to the base of a conversion. Some websites also make money through advertising model based on page views. Knowing that you do not check the keyword / phrase is generating more page views will help you identify keywords that are more valuable.
Landing Pages Report – the creation of a second landing page report that includes the terms of the brand will provide a better indication of how many pages are indexed in the SERPs. You can then compare this number with the number found in GWT and CMS to see how much your site has been indexed.
Top referrers – the upper reference report is a great indicator of Web sites that direct traffic over a period of time. It also provides a source of links to analyze and potentially improve the anchor text used to link.
Report broken link building – not many people seem to reveal their link building reports with the client, but for me it is an important report that you should. It’s very simple really, record all the links you created, with the date, where it is hosted URL, anchor text and destination URL. If this is done every month, you can show the customer exactly what they have created, which have been created and the number of links have been created over a period of time. This is the minimum that the client should receive monthly, although a more complete report can be time consuming.
This SEO metrics are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what can be reported in any SEO project. This message describes the metrics that can be used on all websites have not even considered the complex reporting for e-commerce websites, which is an entirely different message.
