The new look of Windows 8 has been known for a few months – since President Steven Sinofsky and Windows VP Julie Larson-Green showed in D9 in June. However, much of the operating system has remained secret until this week when Microsoft shares the details on its developer conference building in Anaheim.

Windows 8 enables users to log on using a PIN or password, but adds an option that allows users to view the photo and points or lines in it as your log-in.
New way to connect applications
Microsoft calls these “contracts” and allow applications to communicate with each other without any need to be aware of others. Instead, an application agrees that wants to be a search engine and another application decides it wants to build in the search application.

By sliding your finger from the right edge of the screen, users have access to a coherent set of options, including search, a setup menu, and persistence options for sharing content across diverse tools.
Microsoft will use its suite of online services to allow users to access photos stored on SkyDrive, Facebook and Flickr as if they were stored locally. Windows 8 in the same way with a mixture of instant messaging, contact and calendar information across multiple services through the cloud.
The connection to other computers with Windows
Users can easily transfer all your settings from one machine to another just by logging on Windows Live. In addition, Windows 8 is compatible with direct access to all PC users. (I assume the other PC must be running to access it).
Shop Windows
An App Store icon was visible in the demo D9, but Microsoft did not comment at all on him. Now we know how the store looks – is a Metro-style application – as well as the way that works for both consumers and developers. Also, store the newly minted two programs, as well as traditional desktop applications. Microsoft did not reach the business details, such as the percentage that proposes to take, but some documents refer to a revenue sharing agreement. The store will support free and paid applications and payments application.
The Windows will store exclusively for consumers to get Metro-style applications and developers can sell this type of program, I’m told. (Companies will be able to create and distribute internal Metro-style applications for employees.) In traditional desktop applications continue to be sold in the same way they have been, however developers can create a landing page in the windows stores of this type of program.
Built-in antivirus software
Windows anti-malware has been integrated for some time and has offered free software, download antivirus for a while. However, Windows 8 antivirus component is based on the operating system as well. The company promises that the security program, Windows Defender, clean playing in the background if the user installs third party software antivirus.
